5 quick observations from the Bills' 24-14 loss to the Falcons in Week 6 on 'Monday Night Football.'
After only recently suffering their first loss of the 2025 NFL season, the Buffalo Bills now have taken two in a row.
The Bills (4-2) fell in a 24-14 final against the Atlanta Falcons (3-2) in Week 6 on "Monday Night Football."
Similar to their first defeat, Buffalo left a lot to be desired on both sides of the ball. The Bills only managed to put up 14 points throughout the entire game, meanwhile, Buffalo's defense made mistake after mistake.
With that, here is Bills Wire's five takeaways from the Bills' loss to the Falcons:
Allen frustrated
Bills quarterback Josh Allen was in a poor mood during his post-game press conference. It began much earlier than that.
Allen was 15-for-26 passing for 180 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. The QB had 42 more yards rushing the ball.
It wasn't enough and Allen knew it and showed it because cameras showed Allen slamming his helmet on the ground on his team's sideline.
Now, unfortunately, the Bills have to sit and think about this loss for two weeks. Their bye week is coming next week.
Injuries adding up
Speaking of the bye, it will be welcomed in one way: time to heal. Missing several key players did not help the Bills in Atlanta.
The largest loss against the Falcons appeared to be wide receiver Josh Palmer. With tight end Dalton Kincaid, losing Palmer gave Buffalo's offense a serious lack of playmakers around Allen.
Can you make a tackle?
Credit where it's due, the Falcons offense has some budding stars. Running back Bijan Robinson is legit and is leading the NFL in scrimmage yards... despite already having his bye week off.
However, the Bills defense did little to slow the likes of Robinson or wide receiver Drake London. A huge reason? Missed tackles by the Bills defense over and over.
Shaq ends it
Not to pick on one player, but linebacker Shaq Thompson had a chance to bury all the negative headlines following this loss. He stepped up and in front of a pass from Atlanta's young quarterback, Michael Penix Jr., late in the fourth quarter. It was easily going to be a pick-six interception which would have changed this game.
Instead, he dropped it.
A sign?
The Bills have lost to two teams in the Falcons and New England Patriots who both have winning records.
On the flip side, all of Buffalo's wins have come against the: Baltimore Ravens (1-4), New York Jets (0-6), Miami Dolphins (1-5) and New Orleans Saints (1-5).
Notice a trend there? The Bills have not beaten a good team so far in 2025.
