SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Jefferson is back up to No. 3 in this week’s media poll as the Cavaliers came back from down 28-7 to knock off Harrisburg 31-28 last Friday night.

The Cavs are led by first year head coach Eric Struck and boast a 5-2 record. Jefferson is averaging nearly 42 points a game on offense and holding opponents below 20.

Struck joined Monday’s episode of SportsZone All Access where he discussed how much the defense has progressed this season.

“From a defensive standpoint, we had a lot of experience back,” Struck said. “But it’s all new season. We’ve had some communication issues and things like that, some breakdowns. Those guys have really done a really good job of getting on the same page.”

You can see a full replay of the episode in the video player above. Jefferson hosts Rapid City Central on Friday.
