Moves to Borussia Mönchengladbach
Rouven Schröder time as CEO for Sport at FC Red Bull Salzburg is over after just a few months. The 49-year-old German has decided to leave our Red Bulls and join Borussia Mönchengladbach in the German Bundesliga.
The four-year contract with Rouven Schröder has been terminated upon the payment of compensation.
Allocating responsibilities
The unexpected departure at the highest sporting level necessitates a temporary restructuring of responsibilities. The long-term structure is now being discussed internally so that appropriate decisions can be made thereafter.
Views
We were quite surprised when we learned of Rouven's desire to move at short notice. Ultimately, however, we agreed, even though the timing is by no means ideal for FC Red Bull Salzburg. We thank Rouven for his efforts and wish him all the best in his future career.
Stephan Reiter, CEO
I would like to sincerely thank everyone at the club for their support from day one! FC Red Bull Salzburg has fantastic employees and fans who deserve to be successful. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them. I'm completely convinced by the coaching staff, the staff and the entire team, so I firmly believe they will achieve their aims. A special thank you goes to the management team around Stephan Reiter, who made this step back into the German Bundesliga possible for me.
