Former Colorado Buffaloes "leader" Shilo Sanders was lauded for pranking Cleveland Browns fans by pretending to be his brother, Shedeur, because of the potential gain in YouTube subscribers.

Shilo Sanders used his brother’s name and image to prank Cleveland Browns fans at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh ahead of a 23-6 loss to the Steelers. Colorado Buffaloes football coach Deion Sanders’s middle son, a former “leader” on the Buffs, may be due for a bump in YouTube subscribers with the move. Shilo currently has 219,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel as of this writing.
Yahoo Sports’ Chris Cwik lauded Shilo for the move, even if the reaction was “mixed.” Cwik admitted some were fooled, which is enough to make it a successful prank.
“Shilo Sanders is looking to entertain himself on NFL Sundays. After getting cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in August, Sanders is still trying to catch on with a team,” Cwik wrote.
“Until then, though, he's going to work on increasing his YouTube channel numbers. Sanders may have found the perfect recipe for getting his views up in Week 6. In an attempt to fool Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers fans, Sanders dressed up as his brother, Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, and tried to prank fans before the game.
“Shilo's attempt was ... mixed. A decent amount of fans realized there was no way Shedeur would be dressed up in his own jersey walking around the stadium hours before a game. Some even knew — despite the ‘disguise’ — it was Shilo.”
Shilo previously discussed going to Miami because Shedeur likes to vacation there, but the “Grown QB” is now second in line for the Browns’ starting signal-caller spot. Perhaps there’s a traveling jester gig to raise excitement around Shedeur’s hypothetical future start, if he ever gets there in the NFL.
We’ll see how long it takes Shilo to return to Boulder to see his older brother, Deion Jr., also known as “Bucky,” and his father/former coach. There’s plenty of content to be created in the shadow of the Rockies.
Maybe one day he can also join his father and brother at Well Off Media. Then again, maybe Shilo will create a big enough standalone brand to be crazy if he left it.
Time will tell where Shilo’s career goes. Perhaps the NFL will be possible again someday.
