Ohio State football flips three-star defensive back Khmari Bing from Maryland

Ohio State has added three-star defensive back Khmari Bing to its class of 2026, flipping his commitment from Maryland.

Ohio State has flipped the commitment of Khmari Bing, a three-star defensive back from Baltimore who had been bound for Maryland.

Bing decommitted from the Terrapins on Oct. 6 before making a verbal pledge to sign with the Buckeyes eight days later.

Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Jeremiah Smith's helmet sits on the sideline as the team warms up prior to the NCAA football game against the Illinois Fighting Illini at Gies Memorial Stadium in Champaign on Oct. 11, 2025.

He is the No. 918 overall prospect in the nation in the class of 2026, according to composite rankings from 247Sports.

Since committing to Maryland last year, Bing had picked up scholarship offers from Alabama and Florida State, as well as Ohio State. The Buckeyes extended him an offer in September.

It was the second straight day that the Buckeyes flipped a commitment, having added three-star offensive lineman Landy Brede to their class on Monday, Oct. 13.
