Lamar football head coach Jared Beshore has been named 2024-2025 Missouri High School Football Coach of the Year by MSHSAA and NFHS! Beshore led the Tigers to a state title and 11-4 overall record last season. More details below.
COLUMBIA, MO. — Lamar head football coach Jared Beshore has been named the 2024-2025 Missouri high school football Coach of the Year by the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) and National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
“As far as me receiving the award, I don’t put a whole lot of stock into that,” Beshore said. “It’s more in my opinion a program award. It’s a reflection of our kids, our coaching staff, our school district, our administration, and our community, more than it is me. My name is on the plaque, but there’s a lot of people that make our program successful.”
Beshore led the Lamar football program to an 11-4 overall record in the 2024 campaign, capped off by six consecutive postseason wins and the program’s 10th Class 2 Missouri state championship.
Since taking over as head coach at Lamar in 2020, Beshore has accrued an aggregate overall record of 65-12, including a trio of Class 2 Missouri state titles.
Now, in 2025, Lamar sits 4-3 overall and will take on the Aurora Houn Dawgs on the road Friday, October 17.
