While the Manchester United first team has continued to struggle under their ownership, one thing INEOS have got right is youth recruitment.

They prised Chido Obi away from Arsenal, while signing Sekou Kone ahead of Ajax. They also agreed a pre-contract agreement with Colombian teenager Cristian Orozco.

The Red Devils have no plans of stopping anytime soon. Now they have their eyes on Middlesbrough midfield duo Anton and Bailey Palmer.

The twins have announced that they will be leaving Boro, and an announcement on their next club is expected to be made next month, when they turn 17 and can sign a pro deal.

Anton and Bailey Palmer leave Boro

“After eight years at Middlesbrough FC, we have made the decision to leave the club. We thank everyone involved in developing us into the players we are today from the medical staff to the coaches.

“This club will forever be a part of us. We have made memories and friendships for life, but it is now time for us to start a new journey,” the duo wrote on a joint social media statement.

The highly-rated England U17 internationals have six Premier League clubs chasing their signature, including the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham, apart from the 20-time English league champions.

“Six Premier League clubs have all made offers to the Palmer twins ahead of the next step in their careers, sources have told TBR Football.

United face intense competition

“The former Boro twins are expected to move as a pair with Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal, and Tottenham having all made them offers.

“Other clubs also remain in the race, including Brighton and Hove Albion, who are well-renowned for nurturing young talent.”

While Bailey has four goals and three assists for Boro’s age-group sides, Anton has 1 goal and two assists to his name.

Both have been utilised all across the midfield, and whoever signs the duo will be getting two very talented teens. Hopefully, INEOS can pip their competitors in the race.
