Aston Villa are in talks over a new contract with key man and Chelsea transfer target Morgan Rogers according to reports.
Chelsea were heavily linked with Rogers in the summer, but despite signing five attackers a deal for the England international never materialised.
Rogers was named Premier League Young Player of the Year last season, and after a slow start to this campaign he’s started to find his feet again.
Aston Villa to offer Chelsea target Morgan Rogers a new contract
Rogers joined Aston Villa from Championship side Middlesbrough nearly two years ago, and has established himself as one of the most exciting players in the Premier League.
His performances for Villa haven’t gone unnoticed and he’s attracted interest from a number of top clubs, both in the Premier League and Europe.

Any future move to Chelsea would see him link up with his best friend Cole Palmer, and journalist Graeme Bailey has provided an update on the situation.
“Aston Villa are massively happy with Rogers, he has gone from strength to strength under Unai Emery,” he told TBR Football.
“However, he has become a prominent figure for England and Villa know they need to reward him again, and he is in line to become their highest earner.
“Chelsea love Rogers, but I am told PSG are very much keeping tabs on him – they were hugely impressed with what he did against them last season, and have maintained a watching brief ever since.”
Chelsea have wealth of attacking talent
Whilst Rogers is clearly a player Chelsea like, right now the Blues have a wealth of attacking talent, and simply don’t have the space in their squad for the England international.
