The KHSAA field hockey postseason begins Friday. Can Assumption High School win another state title? Here are the regional tournament schedules:
Kentucky’s high school field hockey postseason will get going Friday with play in four regional tournaments.
Kentucky Country Day, Sacred Heart, Collegiate and Manual will serve as regional hosts. Regional champions and runners-up will advance to the state tournament set for Oct. 25-29, with the semifinals and final to be played at Christian Academy.
Assumption is the defending state champion after beating Sacred Heart 3-2 in last year’s final.
Here are the regional schedules:
First Region
At Kentucky Country Day
Saturday, Oct. 18 – Oldham County vs. South Oldham, noon
Monday, Oct. 20 – Oldham County-South Oldham winner vs. North Oldham, 5:30 p.m.; Kentucky Country Day vs. Ballard, 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 22 – Final, 6 p.m.
Second Region
At Sacred Heart
Saturday, Oct. 18 – Eastern vs. Sacred Heart, 2 p.m.; Highlands Latin vs. Christian Academy, 3:15 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 20 – Final, 5:30 p.m.
Third Region
At Collegiate
Friday, Oct. 17 – Male vs. Atherton, 6 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 18 – Male-Atherton winner vs. Assumption, 2 p.m.; Mercy vs. Collegiate, 3:45 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 20 – Final, 6:30 p.m.
Fourth Region
At Manual
Monday, Oct. 20 – Semifinal pairings TBA, 5:30 and 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 22 – Final, 6 p.m.
