Report card: Bills grades following 24-14 loss at Falcons on 'Monday Night Football'

Grades for the Bills' loss vs. the Falcons in Week 6.

The Buffalo Bills head into their bye weekend on their 2025 NFL schedule on a sour note.

The Bills (4-2) lost their second-straight game, a 24-14 final, to the Atlanta Falcons (3-2) on "Monday Night Football" in Week 6.

Nearly equally and at different points of the contest, Buffalo's offense and defense left plenty to be desired. Injuries did not help, but a loss is a loss.

With that, here is Bills Wire's report card for the Bills' loss against the Falcons:

Pass offense: D+

Aside from early successes, quarterback Josh Allen had a hard time getting anything going in the air in this one. Wide receiver Josh Palmer went down and fellow wideout Keon Coleman was not good. Allen did not have much help. Tight end Dalton Kincaid missing the game due to injury factors in as well.

But in his own right, this was not the best we've seen Allen, either. Je was 15-for-26 passing for 180 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Allen rushed 42 yards as well.

Run offense: C-

This grade is less reflective of running back James Cook as opposed to offensive coordinator Joe Brady. Cook was not used as much as he could've been... both rushing the ball and in the passing game.

With plenty of skill players out, Cook could've been used more. He averaged 5.1 yards per carry on 17 carries (87 total).

Pass defense: D+

Falcons receiver Drake London finished with 10 catches on 16 targets for 158 yards and had a touchdown. He beat up the Bills.

Aside from London, Robinson had 68 yards in the air, adding to his big day. No other receiver for Atlanta really did much but... damage was very much done.

Run defense: F

Falcons running back Bijan Robinson: 19 carries, 170 yards, 8.9 yards per carry, and a touchdown on an 81-yard house call. All that needs to be said. The tackling (or lack of) and injuries do not help the Bills defense.

Special teams: B

Joe Andreesen had a good tackle on kick coverage but that was called off by a penalty. Sam Franklin made up for that flag on punt coverage, at least.

Naturally, the play of the day for the special teams unit was Greg Rousseau providing life late with a blocked field goal.

Too bad a three-and-out followed that.

Coaching: F

The Bills are up to 30 penalties combined in their past three games. It's starting to become a problem. Some were costly.

Then the offense was poor and that's reflecting on Brady as OC... and this is head coach Sean McDermott's defense.

Frustrations built up. Time to reflect during the bye.
