Ahead of Thursday night's football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers, it has been announced that Bengals' star pass rusher Trey Hendrickson will likely be sidelined.
As if the trade speculation isn't loud enough already, this news is only fuel to the fire, and some fans are now convinced that a Trey Hendrickson trade is imminent.
Will Hendrickson actually be traded on Thursday? You can't rule anything out, of course, but NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported earlier in the day that the defensive end was "a bit of a longshot" to play. His being out shouldn't come as a huge surprise to anyone.

Should the Bengals trade Trey Hendrickson?
The Cincinnati Bengals signed Trey Hendrickson to a one-year, $29 million deal shortly before the season, but they continue to show an unwillingness to commit to the star pass rusher long-term.
After joining the Bengals in 2021, Hendrickson has been named to the Pro Bowl in four straight seasons. He led the NFL in sacks last season with 17.5, and Hendrickson has recorded 10-plus sacks in four of the past five seasons.
Under a post by SleeperNFL on X that has almost 100,000 views, NFL fans are essentially deeming it a foregone conclusion that Hendrickson is going to be traded before early November. Some of the speculative teams in the comments are the Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys.

With Joe Burrow being injured, and the Bengals likely not going to make the playoffs this season, it is a perfect time for Cincinnati to consider moving off from Hendrickson and garnering a strong return of future draft picks.
