Ethan Page had no problem defending his title at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc — until he heard the match stipulation.
The self-proclaimed Greatest North American of All Time will put his title on the line against AAA Latin American Champion El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. at the October 25 event. The match was made official after Page confronted Hijo on NXT last night.
Both superstars engaged in a heated exchange, with Ethan Page sounding confident about his chances against the challenger. However, his tone quickly changed when Wagner announced that they’ll be facing off in a Day of the Dead Match.

Ethan Page reacted to the announcement in a new video shared by WWE NXT on social media. All Ego claimed that he had a “gut feeling” the contract for his match was negotiated in Spanish — before demanding that WWE pay for his Spanish lessons.

WWE hasn’t confirmed the official rules of the bout. But it’s safe to assume the match will follow a Street Fight stipulation based on the “Anything Goes” description.
