The Dallas Cowboys came into their game against the Carolina Panthers with a top-10 run game led by Javonte Williams, and many thought the avenue for Dallas winning was to lean on the rushing attack.
Well, Carolina had other ideas.
Dallas was held to just 31 yards rushing, its lowest of the season by some margin, and it is the only time the Cowboys have been held under 100 rushing yards in a game this season.
But why? Javonte knows, and it isn't great.
"We weren't physical enough," Williams said. "Everything was blocked up. I mean, it was just they was knocking us back and we weren't really hitting them too much. So yeah, we just got to be more physical."

Williams' honesty brutal for Cowboys
Football is a tough and violent sport, so the last thing you want to be accused of is not being physical enough, and the Cowboys got manhandled by the Panthers' defensive front.
Multiple times, the Dallas offensive line got pushed back, gaps closed, and Williams had nowhere to run, hence his 29 yards from 13 carries. It was tough sledding for the Cowboys in Carolina, and the reason was that they weren't as tough as the Panthers.
And that is a brutal knock.
Now coming up against the Washington Commanders, you better believe that this will be an emphasis for Brian Schottenheimer's rushing unit, because being out-muscled in one game is one thing, but in back-to-back games? That's a huge shot at the ego.
Let's see if Dallas responds.
