Lexington's Arnett leads 20 Richland County players named to All-OCC girls soccer list

MANSFIELD — Maggie Arnett logged a lot of miles on the pitch this Fall.

The Lexington senior scored three goals and had an assist, but led a stellar Lady Lex defense that recorded 11 shutouts this season on her way to being named the Ohio Cardinal Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Year for the 2025 season. He helped Lexington finish second in the league behind Ashland.

Teammates Zoe Borowicz, Morgan Harrod and Gabby Lay were named first team All-OCC along with Madison's Avah Newsome, Ellie Powell and Angel Montanez and Mansfield Senior's Brooklyn Collins.

Borowicz scored 19 goals and handed out 10 assists while Harrod had 12 goals and 14 assists and Lay added six goals and one assist out of her midfield position.

Newsome recorded 52 saves this season for the Rams while Powell had four goals and six assists and Montanez added five goals and two assists.

No stats were avilable for Collins.

Lexington's Jersie Palmer, Sylvia Secrist and Claire Hammer joined Madison's Cambree Howe and Avery O'Brien and Mansfield's Meredith Rizzo as second team selections while Lexington's Alli Laury and Audrey Wendling, Madison's Addyson Powell and Kyliegh Washington and Mansfield's Callahan Cavanaugh and Adriana Parsons were honorable mentions.
