STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WHTM) — Penn State football’s recruitment implosion continues in the aftermath of the program firing coach James Franklin.

Four-star quarterback Troy Huhn has pulled his commitment from the Nittany Lions, ESPN’s Eli Lederman said a source told him Thursday.

The 6-foot-4-inch, 220-pounds recruit from Mission Hills High School in San Marcos, California, is the 15th highest ranked QB in the class of 2026, according to 247Sports’ rankings.

Huhn is the latest recruit to decommit in the aftermath of Franklin’s axing following three straight losses.

Earlier this week, the No. 1-ranked running back in the 2027 class, Kemon Spell, decommitted.

Standout Harrisburg High School running back Messiah Mickens, class of 2026, took to social media this week and said while he is committed to the Nittany Lions’ current staff, “with the current situation me and my family believe it is best to” to reopen his recruitment.
