The Chicago Bears pulled off a dazzling comeback on Monday night, culminating in a 25-24 victory over the Washington Commanders.

Caleb Williams had himself a night, completing 17 of 29 pass attempts for 252 yards and two total touchdowns, improving Chicago's record to 3-2 on the season.

But Monday Night Football color commentator Troy Aikman had choice words throughout the game, and both Williams and Ben Johnson responded to the former Dallas Cowboys quarterback this week.

On a few Bears plays Monday night, Aikman was quick to point out luck or poor throws from Williams.

"As open as [Swift] is, and then you make one guy miss, and then with his speed, he's off to the races. Just, um, luck on Chicago's part," said about a late Bears touchdown via the Daily Mail.

Normally, broadcasters will meet with the team whose game their covering that week. According to Williams, he never met with Aikman and tried to reach out to him, but to no avail.

"I didn't get to meet with him. Tried to meet with him. Reached out and tried to meet, but that didn't happen. So, moved on from it, went and played the game and came out 3-2," the former No. 1 pick told the press.

"I was here late and the timing didn't meet up lifting or whatever the case may have been, tried to call him after the day I was supposed to meet with him and it didn't get through."

Williams also poked fun at Aikman in an Instagram post.

"Nations Cap good being back! 'It was lucky' -TA [Troy Aikman] Whooptie Doo."

Johnson also had a message for Aikman regarding his criticisms on Monday night.

"It sounded like from that game the other night, a few people weren't particularly pleased with how we are winning right now," Johnson told ESPN radio in Chicago.

"I woke up this morning and my kids were watching the second half before school, so I heard some of the commentary."

Clearly, Aikman struck a nerve within the Bears' facility. It may add some fuel to the fire when Chicago appears next on Monday Night Football.
