Borussia Mönchengladbach remain winless in this Bundesliga season and are bottom of the table after a 3-1 defeat at Union Berlin on Friday.
Gladbach are the only Bundesliga team that haven't won any of their seven league games so far as they suffered their fourth defeat of the season. Dismissing coach Gerardo Seoane and promoting under-23 boss Eugen Polanski also hasn't helped.
Union needed just three minutes to get their opener as Danilho Doekhi leapt above everyone else to head into the net Christopher Trimmel's looping corner.
The defender then got himself a brace in the 26th minute, after taking the rebound from Ilyas Ansah's effort and slot the ball into the goal from close range.
Rocco Reitz's attempted pass in the counterattack was cut by the defence, but Gladbach still managed to pull one back in the 33rd as the ball was recovered by Yannik Engelhardt. He found Haris Tabakovic, who curled a nice finish inside the far post.
But Gladback couldn't build on from that and Union sealed the win in the 81st thanks to Rani Khedira's first-time shot from the edge of the box after a corner.
Union are provisionally seventh ahead of the weekend matches, which include the top clash between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
