Dickinson has turned in a perfect season so far in 2025.
And the Gators have been able to do so despite not playing very many home games.
The Gators attempt to keep that undefeated stretch going with yet another road game on Friday, as Dickinson travels to face Brazoswood in District 24-6A action
Dickinson - ranked No. 25 in the current edition of The Sporting News Texas Top 25 rankings - is playing its third straight road game and has been at home just twice all season. But the Gators have kept things going and with a win on Friday, can match their win total from last season, when they finished 7-4 with a bi-district playoff loss.
There’s another streak Dickinson has been on. In the Gators’ previous two games, they have scored 71 points on both occasions, the latest a 71-14 win against Clear Lake two weeks ago before being off last week. Also, Dickinson has scored 201 points in its three district wins.
Currently, Dickinson (6-0, 3-0) is in a three-way tie for first atop 24-6 with Clear Springs and Deer Park.
Brazoswood is currently in fifth place in the district at 1-2, and the Buccaneers (2-4 overall) are coming off back-to-back losses in which they have scored a total of 10 points. But Brazoswood, which went 3-7 last season, can make a huge statement Friday night by being the first team to hand Dickinson a loss this fall.
