DURAND, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — Stockton was turned away on two early scoring opportunities at Legion Field Friday evening, but the Blackhawks overcame that and won a tough battle against the Du-Pec Rivermen 18-14.
Stockton improves to 8-0. The Blackhawks have clinched at least a share of the NUIC championship. They are one game ahead of 7-1 Lena-Winslow. Stockton can clinch the championship outright next Friday night when it hosts Forreston.
Du-Pec’s record is now 6-2. The Rivermen have another battle ahead of them next week when they play at Lena-Winslow. For highlights of this game, watch the media player above.
