The Las Vegas Raiders figure to be sellers at the NFL trade deadline next month, but a rumor from The Athletic's Dianna Russini reveals the team could also buy some talent.

The Las Vegas Raiders are on a crash course to being sellers at the trade deadline on Nov. 4, but it appears the door is open for the team to acquire talent, also.
The Raiders are sitting at 2-4 after six games and it's quite clear that, barring a major turnaround, Las Vegas is headed for another frustrating season.
As a result, the team should look to acquire more draft capital at the deadline, and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is in the spotlight as someone who could get moved.
The Athletic's Dianna Russini confirms that the Raiders are open to trading the veteran wideout, but she also revealed Las Vegas could add to its defense, and specifically to the defensive line and cornerbacks rooms.
"The Raiders are open to moving receiver Jakobi Meyers, while making calls on defensive linemen and corners," Russini reported.
Truth be told, the Raiders should not be looking for any quick fixes at cornerback or defensive line. This team is not ready to compete for anything and cannot give up any semblance of valuable assets for a rental.
Now, if there's a good young player available who can help this team for the long haul at either spot, that's a different story, but good luck finding those types of players on the trade market.
When it comes to Meyers, the Raiders MUST trade him.
After not getting the contract extension he was seeking during the offseason, Meyers was disgruntled enough to ask for a trade.
Unless the Raiders give him the bag, there is close to zero chance he will be back next season, so Las Vegas has to unload him before he leaves for nothing in 2026.
Las Vegas could net a nice return in exchange for Meyers, who figures to be one of, if not the best wideouts available and a bidding war between wide receiver-needy teams will only drive up his price.
