The Cowboys thought the CB room was getting healthier, but plans had to change prior to Week 7.
The Dallas Cowboys have been forced to shuffle their roster once again. Just when it seemed like things were coming together, healthwise, for their secondary, Trevon Diggs goes and lands on the inactive list with a concussion suffered off the field of play. On Saturday, the Cowboys made the expected move and activated second-year corner Caelen Carson from injured reserve.
Carson is finally healthy after suffering a knee hyperextension during training camp. His practice window was opened two weeks ago, and the plan was to have him join the depth chart this week, even before Diggs' injury.
In addition to the move, the Cowboys also elevated RB Malik Davis from the practice squad. For those hoping to see a heavy dosage of rookie Jaydon Blue on offense, there may be a pause put on those plans with the more veteran Davis being active.
Here's a look at the club's 54-man roster ahead of Sunday's inactives, which will be announced 90 minutes before kickoff.
