This week's nominees are from Amity and Silverton soccer, South Salem volleyball, and Dallas and McNary cross-country.

As the fall season winds down and the postseason looms on the horizon, Salem-Kezier area girls athletes across volleyball, soccer and cross-country continue to perform at a high level on a weekly basis.

Every week, you get to vote for the Statesman Journal’s Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Maps Credit Union.

Allie Mansur, Silverton soccer

The senior forward/midfielder had a combined five goals and three assists in the Foxes' 9-1 home win against Lebanon (Oct. 14) and 8-0 win at Central (Oct. 16).

Mathis and South Salem handed Sprague its first conference loss of the season Oct. 14. In the match, Mathis was “on fire,” according to South coach Matt Leichty, as she posted 18 kills, eight digs, two blocks and a service ace.

Miersma, a senior forward, scored and delivered a quality performance Oct. 16 in a 7-0 shutout win over Dayton.

Nisly scored in Amity’s 7-0 win on Oct. 16 over Dayton. Nisly, as of OSAA’s Oct. 16 data collection, is tied for the most goals (24) in the state of Oregon across all divisions.

Kelsey Rodli, Dallas cross-country

Rodli won the 26-team Grant Robison Invitational Oct. 16 in McMinnville. Rodli, a senior, set a personal-best 5,000-meter time of 18 minutes, 1.06-seconds.

The senior ran a personal-best 5,000-meter race in 18 minutes, 54.02 seconds en route to sixth place at the Grant Robison Invitational in McMinnville.
