Oregon Ducks' national title odds increase after dominant Week 8 victory over Rutgers

Coming off their convincing bounce back win over Rutgers in Week 8, find out where Oregon ranks in national title odds.

While Week 8 in college football was a roller coaster like nearly every other week, the top of the national title odds didn't see much change from post-Week 7.

The top remains the same, with the Ohio State Buckeyes and Alabama Crimson Tide — despite losing in the first week — holding down the top two spots. But following those two is when the biggest chance occurred, as the Miami Hurricanes fell to the Louisville Cardinals on Friday night in a shocking upset.

From there, the Oregon Ducks and Indiana Hoosiers, who faced off in a battle in Autzen Stadium last week, come into the picture. Both avoided the emotional letdown that often follows an emotional game, resulting in two blowout victories over far inferior opponents.

More specifically, the Ducks got back into the win column and kept their hopes of winning the title alive, as two losses would put them in jeopardy of missing the College Football Playoff altogether. Against Rutgers, they displayed everything that makes them so good: quarterback Dante Moore's precision passing, standout performances by multiple running backs, and a defense headed by Bryce Boettcher that was stout throughout all four quarters.

And, perhaps most notable, head coach Dan Lanning and his coaching staff looked as prepared as can be after admitting that the Hoosiers out-prepared them.

With that being said, let's check out how the full national title odds, per FanDuel SportsBook, shake out after Week 8.
