After more than a year off the field, Rashee Rice gives the Chiefs yet another offensive asset.
Well, the rest of the NFL had its chance to keep Kansas City down. The Chiefs were already trending in the right direction after a rocky start, and they now have wide receiver Rashee Rice back in the lineup following a suspension. And Rice paid immediate dividends, scoring a touchdown on the Chiefs' very first drive against Las Vegas on Sunday:

Rice hasn't played since Week 4 of last season, when he collided with Patrick Mahomes, suffered ligament injury and missed the rest of the year.
Rice missed the first six games of the 2025 season due to a suspension for legal issues stemming from a high-speed collision in March 2024. Rice was driving a Lamborghini at high speed in Dallas, struck a retaining wall and set off a multi-car collision that caused several injuries. Rice later pleaded guilty to two third-degree felonies and settled with other victims of the wreck.
Without Rice in the lineup, Kansas City ranks eighth overall in passing yards per game this season while posting a 3-3 record. After losing their first two games, the Chiefs are only one random game-winning Trevor Lawrence scramble from a 4-0 run, and Rice's return should only bolster their chances in a decimated AFC.
