The Miami Dolphins have benched quarterback Tua Tagovailoa after his third interception in the second half on Oct. 19 against the Cleveland Browns.
Rookie Quinn Ewers took the field with the Dolphins offense after Tagovailoa threw interceptions on back-to-back offensive drives.
Tagovailoa was 12 of 23 for 100 yards with no touchdowns and 3 interceptions prior to his benching.
The Browns lead the Dolphins 31-6 midway through the fourth quarter in Cleveland.
Ewers, a seventh-round pick out of Texas in the 2025 NFL Draft, was elevated over Zach Wilson into the Dolphins' backup quarterback role prior to the Browns game.
He took his first NFL snaps at quarterback in the fourth quarter in Cleveland.

Tagovailoa threw a pick-six touchdown on the Dolphins' first offensive play of the second half.
He was intercepted on a pass from his own end zone early in the fourth quarter, setting up a Quinshon Judkins rushing touchdown on the ensuing play. Tagovailoa threw his third interception on the second play of the Dolphins' next drive.
