NFL teams were 0-1,602 when trailing by 18 points or more in the final six minutes. On Sunday, the Denver Broncos made it 1-1,602.

After trailing 26-8 with six minutes remaining, the Broncos clawed all the way back to steal a victory over the New York Giants. Will Lutz’s 39-yard field goal as time expired sealed the deal for the Broncos stunning 33-32 win to move them to 5-2 on the season. The Broncos were shutout for three quarters, trailing 19-0 at the start of the fourth quarter, and stunned the Giants after outscoring them 33-13 in the final period.

The Broncos defense — which has been one of the best in the NFL so far this season — forced an interception of Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart which sparked the comeback rally. The win serves as a statement for the rest of the league that the Broncos are for real.

Quarterback Bo Nix completed 27 of his 50 pass attempts, and threw two touchdowns and added another two on the ground. With the win, the Broncos take sole possession of first place in the AFC West, and have all the makings of a true Super Bowl contender.

Denver will look to continue their winning ways in Week 8 as they look to topple another NFC East opponent in the Dallas Cowboys
