Pope had enough.
The Kentucky Wildcats are looking to gain some confidence Tuesday night as they squared off with the NC Central Eagles at Rupp Arena.
Never a game that was really even a threat to lose, this game was more of a focus for Mark Pope and his staff to try and really get this team back on track after a rough start to the season. One of the biggest complaints so far this year? Effort.
Well, we can now see that Coach Pope is fed up with it as well. After a live ball turnover in the first half by Brandon Garrison, the senior big man failed to hustle back and try to stop the break. That effort led to a quick time-out and a very fired-up Mark Pope.
This game didn’t move the needle, but at least we got a real glimpse of this staff really trying to hold these guys accountable and turn the season around.
