The Viola try yet another lineup to find some sort of spark.
Late news
Paolo Vanoli shuffles the deck yet again, giving Mattia Viti, Pietro Comuzzo, Cher Ndour, Hans Nicolussi Caviglia, Amir Richardson, and Edin Džeko a chance to impress. Spare a thought for Tommaso Martinelli, who remains glued to the bench despite the club’s assurances that he’d be the cup goalkeeper this season, but at least we’ll see some different faces in midfield.
Igor Kostyuk’s also made a notable change, picking Oleksandr Tymchyk at rightback over Oleksandr Karaev, who’s been in tremendous form.
Don’t expect much of an atmosphere, either. It looks like only about 7000ish tickets have been sold for this one, which will leave the Franchi even more ghostly than usual. We know at least one human heart will be in there, though, so keep an eye out for Hesanka in the stands.
Lineups
Fiorentina (3-5-2): de Gea; Viti, Comuzzo, Pongračić; Fortini, Ndour, Nicolussi Caviglia, Richardson, Dodô; Džeko, Kean
Dynamo Kyiv (4-3-3): Neshcheret; Dubinchak, Zakharchenko, Thiaré, Tymchyk; Shaparenko, Mykhaylenko, Pikhalonok; Kabaev, Guerrero, Voloshyn
