FC Bayern is looking to sell a right-back…
Bayern Munich does not have much use for Sacha Boey these days.
The former Galatasaray star never really made his mark in Bavaria and is no better than the No. 3 right-back on the depth chart. Clearly, both sides could use a separation.
With the winter transfer window upcoming, things should fall in line for an easy sale…right?
Right?
Maybe not.
Per Sport Bild’s Christian Falk (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is holding out for a bid of €10 million to €15 million — a range that might not be palatable for any club looking into buying a reclamation project:
Bayern would be willing to sell Sacha Boey in January and want €10-15m. Crystal Palace, although interested, are not prepared to pay that fee. Vincent Kompany, on the other hand, wants to keep every player he can until the end of the season.
Bayern Munich’s resolve will be tested. The Bavarians paid €30 million for Boey back in 2024 and are now clearly looking to minimize the financial hit by seeking a larger fee than most clubs are willing to pay for a seldom-used player, who has no future at his current club.
So…what is the minimum fee Bayern Munich should be seeking? €15 million? €10 million? €5 million? Tell us whatever number you think is fair (you are not limited to those figures listed above) and why in the comments below.
