Eli Drinkwitz suddenly has an important hire to make.
Mizzou offensive coordinator Kirby Moore is set to leave the Tigers to become Washington State’s head football coach, according to reports from ESPN’s Pete Thamel and The Athletic.
Moore came to the Tigers ahead of the 2023 season as the first official offensive coordinator of the Eli Drinkwitz era. Moore led a dramatic turnaround for Missouri’s offense, which was one of the best and most explosive in the country in 2023. While the Tigers were less explosive in 2024 and 2025, they continued to operate as a hyper-efficient unit behind dangerous run attacks. Washington State finished in a two-way for first (and last) place in the Pac-12 this season at 6-6.
