Foot Africa understands that FNB Botswana Premiership outfit Nico United are keen on luring Durban City striker Jean Lwamba back to the country.
The Congolese marksman signed for the KwaZulu-Natal outfit on a two-year deal from TAFIC FC in July 2025, at the back of a stellar debut campaign in the Botswana topflight.
Lwamba scored 15 goals to clinch the Golden Boot award and was subsequently named 2024/25 Player of the Season in Botswana.
However, the 25-year-old has failed to replicate his form in the lucrative Betway Premiership and has struggled to command a regular place in City's starting XI.
The Lubumbashi-born forward is yet to find the back of the net in 10 appearances across all competition, but has registered a solitary assist.
Now, sources in Botswana have told this publication that Nico United are exploring the feasibility of a potential deal as they have concrete interest in the player.
United want to strengthen their chances of securing a spot in CAF Inter-club competitions next season as the sit third on the log table, trailing leaders Gaborone United with three points, having played two games more.
