Impressive numbers from the midfielder.
Barcelona midfielder Pedri set a new record on Saturday after being named in the XI to face Osasuna in La Liga.
The Spain star becomes the youngest player to reach 150 appearances for Barcelona in La Liga at the tender age of 23 years and 18 days. He beats the record previously held by a certain Lionel Messi, who was 23 years and 121 days when he hit the landmark against Real Zaragoza.
Pedri starts alongside Eric Garcia again for Barcelona, with Hansi Flick once again preferring his versatile star to Frenkie de Jong. Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres are also in the starting XI, along with Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.
Flick had a few words about his selection before kick-off. He told Movistar: “Raphinha will start as an attacking midfielder and Lamine Yamal as a winger. I’m seeing the team very focused. I like what I see.”
Barcelona have the chance to move seven points clear at the top of the table with a win. Real Madrid play tomorrow against Alaves.
