HOW IT HAPPENED
- After going back and forth through the first half, Northern State pulled away in the third, recording a game-high 25 points in the quarter
- The Wolves’ bench came up big, tallying 22 points in the victory, led by Carli Kuyper with 10, a career high, going 60% from the field and earning four points at the line
- Izzy Moore was NSU’s highest scorer of the night, recording 15 points, six rebounds and two blocks in the game, and shot 28.6% from the field, 25% from beyond the arc and 66.7% from the charity stripe
- Behind Moore and Kuyper was Counts with nine points and six rebounds while collecting a game-high three steals
- Of Northern State’s 38 boards, 5-foot-8 freshman Reagan Rus secured eight of them, leading the team in the category, while Taylor Tool led the Wolves with two assists
- The Wolves excelled defensively, holding the Beavers to 7.7% on shots from long range and
- Bemidji State’s Kassandra Caron was the night’s scoring leader, contributing 24 of the Beavers’ 55 points while shooting 66.7% from the field
- Aubrey Heyer led BSU with five boards, while three other Beavers finished with four
