Kevin Vallejos made a statement last night (Sat., Dec. 13, 2025) at UFC Vegas 112 LIVE on ESPN+ from inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, finishing featherweight veteran Giga Chikadze with a devastating second-round TKO (spinning backfist and elbows).
Despite Chikadze’s experience and clean striking game, Vallejos was a sizeable betting favorite entering Saturday. The former Contender Series standout has only lost to Jean Silva in his professional career and is one of the brightest young talents at 145 pounds today. That said, Vallejos still had to perform when the lights were brightest and that’s exactly what the 24-year-old prospect did.
Chikadze tried to use his long strikes and kicks in the early going, but Vallejos did a good job of closing the gap and finding his range for some heavy shots. Vallejos turned the pressure up just a little more in the second round, but that’s all that was needed to fold Chikadze. Vallejos tracked him down and moved in for an exchange. As Chikadze was backing into the fence Vallejos uncorked a gnarly spinning backfist. It connected flush and sent Chikadze to the canvas, which is where Vallejos finished his efforts with heavy elbows.
