Andrea Stramaccioni considers Inter Milan the most impressive team in Serie A amid a fierce three-way battle for the title.
Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Stramaccioni warned the Nerazzurri against complacency ahead of a brutal fixture schedule.
First-half goals from Yann Bisseck and Lautaro Martinez inspired Inter to their third consecutive league win last weekend.
In addition to extending their unbeaten Serie A run against Genoa to 13 matches, Cristian Chivu’s team overtook AC Milan at the summit.
Indeed, the San Siro giants now lead the way in Italy’s top flight, boasting a single-point lead over the Rossoneri.
Meanwhile, reigning champions Napoli sit third, only two points adrift of Inter, following a 1-0 defeat at Udinese.
Therefore, this season’s Serie A title race promises to go down to the wire.
Despite undergoing a managerial change in the summer, Inter haven’t lost their competitive edge.
On the contrary, they’ve been superb this season, scoring at least ten more goals than any other Serie A side.
As such, Stramaccioni has hailed the team’s rise under Cristian Chivu.

“So far, it’s been beautiful and very open, and I wouldn’t have said it would be this balanced in December,” Stramaccioni said.
“The top four have already lost 14 matches. That’s a lot.
“It hasn’t happened in 20 years, and that gives you a sense of the current equilibrium.”
Meanwhile, he praised Chivu’s early impact at San Siro.
“Cristian is working really well both on the field and with the team’s mindset,’” Stramaccioni added.
“Inter are definitely in a good moment from every point of view.
“Right now, during this mini break before the Supercoppa, they seem to be in the best shape, even though they have a tough schedule coming up with Atalanta, Bologna, and Napoli in 15 days.”
Finally, he delivered his verdict on the Scudetto race.
“I see Inter and Napoli as favorites at the same level,” he continued. “But overall, the Nerazzurri have impressed me more so far.
“Milan are the third ‘dark horse,’ with a great coach and the advantage of not having cup competitions.
“But they need at least one, if not two, forwards. If they stay close to the top until the March derby… nothing will be impossible.”
