The wife of Barcelona star Raphinha has on Tuesday taken to social media, to make crystal clear her feelings with her partner’s exclusion from the FIFPRO World XI.
This comes after the Brazilian was overlooked to make room for the likes of teammate Lamine Yamal, and Chelsea star Cole Palmer.
Raphinha of course enjoyed nothing short of a spectacular campaign in 2024/25.
En route to a domestic treble for Barcelona, the former Leeds United man racked up a remarkable haul of 60 direct goal contributions in all competitions.
Neither Raphinha, nor those closest to him, could therefore hide their disappointment upon the 29-year-old’s 5th-placed Ballon d’Or finish being announced earlier this year.
And as alluded to above, such bemusement has been repeated early this week.
Upon the 2025 FIFPRO World XI being unveiled this evening, Raphinha was nowhere to be seen.
