Fifth-year Notre Dame cornerback Chance Tucker plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Pete Nakos. Tucker’s impact has been relatively muted in his days with the Fighting Irish.

After playing in one game during the 2022 season, Tucker saw much more time in 2023. He appeared in nine games, logging three tackles.

That would be Chance Tucker’s lone statistical contributions to date, even though he appeared in four games this season for Notre Dame. In total, he has appeared in 14 games in college.

Tucker had two seasons at Notre Dame in which he failed to record an appearance. He did not play as a true freshman in 2021, taking a redshirt. Then he did not play in 2024 after suffering a season-ending injury.

Prior to enrolling at Notre Dame, Chance Tucker was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 329 overall recruit in the 2021 recruiting class. He was also ranked as the No. 51 receiver in his class, as well as the No. 28 overall player in the state of California, hailing from Encino (CA) Crespi.

On3 will have more on this developing story shortly.
