The Florida high school football season might be over, but the off-season transferring moves are in full swing around the state and one of the biggest moves yet took place on Friday evening.
2028 three-star quarterback Brady Quinn confirmed to Rivals that he has transferred from Naples Lely to 9-time state champion Chaminade-Madonna Prep. The Lions reached the 2025 FHSAA Class 1A state championship, falling to Cardinal Newman, 17-14, last week in Miami at Pitbull Stadium.
“I wanted to put myself in the best position to be college ready,” Quinn said to Rivals. “I’m going to be playing with one of the best teams in Florida against some of the best competition. I want to win state championships and I felt like Chaminade was the best place for that.”
Quinn is coming off a strong sophomore campaign for the Trojans, which parted ways with head coach Ben Hammer on Friday. The signal caller this past 2025 season at Naples Lely finished the season completing 198 of 328 passes for 2,960 yards and 37 touchdowns. Quinn also added 275 yards and four touchdowns on the ground, to account for 41 total scores.
It should be a potentially loaded quarterback room at Chaminade-Madonna as the Lions started freshman Malik Leonard throughout the course of last season. Leonard was superb in his first season behind center, completing 178 of 255 passes for 2,935 yards and 31 touchdowns.
