Inter Milan Identify Two Primary Targets As Nerazzurri Plan For Dumfries Succession

Inter are mapping out the succession plan for Denzel Dumfries, with Italian media identifying Marco Palestra and Belghali as the two primary profiles under consideration as the club looks beyond January.

Before the Supercoppa semi-final defeat to Bologna, president Giuseppe Marotta outlined Inter’s stance on the winter window.

“I’m not ruling anything out, but the squad fully meets the coach’s needs,” he said.

With Dumfries sidelined until March, Corriere dello Sport reports, via FCInter1908, that Inter prefer to rely on internal solutions now and act in June.

The priority target is Palestra, but his valuation has surged.

Atalanta are said to be asking around €40 million for the wing-back, currently on loan at Cagliari.

“For Inter, it would be an acquisition outside Oaktree’s parameters,” the paper notes.
