The FC Bayern legend is thinking big, but is cautious about the UCL…
Bayern Munich legend Franck Ribéry has been around long enough to know what a team capable of winning the Champions League looks like.
With Bayern Munich excelling in all competitions, Ribéry thinks the team has the look, but also knows it can be a treacherous terrain for even the best teams to try and manage.
“They’re doing very well. The Champions League is different to the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal. There are many big teams and it’s a difficult competition. But Bayern are good, Vincent Kompany is doing well, you feel that there’s a good atmosphere in the team. I’m happy and hope they’ll win many titles this season,” Ribéry told Sport1 (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Ribéry understands the travails of trying to win a Champions League crown. Bayern Munich took another step on that journey with its 3-1 win over Sporting CP, but there will be more challenges ahead and it will be Kompany’s job to try and keep the team on track in the coming months.
