Christmas Gift Idea: Best Red Sox Tickets for Fenway in 2026

A last-minute Christmas guide to the best games at Fenway Park next season

You’re on your way to your in-laws’ house for dinner tonight, and while your kids are fighting in the back seat as your wife yells at you to put her parents’ address into the GPS, you think to yourself:

‘Dang, I completely forgot to get my father-in-law a Christmas gift.’

Have no fear! You likely have a smartphone, and that smartphone almost certainly has access to the internet.

What you’re going to do is sneak away when you get to grandma and grandpa’s, pull up your online ticket sales website of choice, and pick out one of the following games for Fenway Park next summer.

Don’t worry, I went through the trouble of picking out the best Red Sox home games for each month:

APRIL:

• 4/3 to 4/5, Home Opener vs. Padres - Everyone has World Series aspirations on opening day, right? Well, Boston will have already played six games by the time they open their home slate. But the point still stands! Plus, the Padres are always a fun team to watch in person - filled with star players and coming off a season in which they lost in the Wild Card Round to the Cubs in three games. They’re currently tied for the ninth-best odds to win the World Series in 2026.

• 4/21 to 4/23, First Fenway series vs. Yankees - Do I even need to explain? Given how things played out in October, things are heading towards this rivalry being as heated as ever over the next few years. And if it lines up for Boston native/Yankees breakout star Cam Schlittler to make a start in Boston in this series or later in the year, expect the boos to be off the charts for the 25-year-old.

MAY:

• 5/12 to 5/14,  “Kyle from Waltham” comes to town - After a heavy flirtation this hot stove season, former Red Sox slugger Kyle Schwarber opted to stay in Philadelphia, signing a five-year deal worth $150 million. Despite the “Kyle from Waltham” lore, it wasn’t enough for Schwarber to almost certainly accept less money to come back to Boston to finish what he started back in 2021.

JUNE:

• 6/2 to 6/4, Pete Alonso’s first series at Fenway for Baltimore - Speaking of heavy flirting, Alonso and the Red Sox were basically getting a hotel room together before the Mets slugger realized the type of package he was being offered (pun semi-intended) - three years, $85 million. Alonso said ‘thanks, but no thanks,’ and signed for five years at $155 million with little brother down in Baltimore. While you can’t really blame the guy, the crowd reaction will be a mix of boos and sarcastic cheers throughout the entire three-game series. Some booing because he opted for another team, some cheering as a vocal protest of Fenway Sports Group continuing their miserly ways.

• 6/16 to 6/18, American League champs come to town - In recent years, the Blue Jays were just a blip on the radar when they came to town - a true afterthought within the division behind the Yankees and Rays. But after exceeding expectations all the way to one of the most epic Game 7s in World Series history, Blue Jays tickets at Fenway will be among the hottest tickets in town this summer.

• 6/25 to 6/28, A four-gamer with the Yankees - Plenty of opportunities to boo Schlittler, Ben Rice, Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Gerrit Cole, and any other Yankees whom you deem to have a punchable face. These series are always so much fun. Please pack Fenway Park with Red Sox fans, if possible, as New York fans don’t have far to travel from their summer homes on the Cape.

JULY:

• N/A - Weak home slate in July + All-Star festivities in Philly

AUGUST:

• 8/21 to 8/23, Welcome home, Raffy Devers - These will likely be the most expensive tickets on the secondary market this summer, as Boston’s former favorite son makes his return to Fenway Park for the first time in a Giants uniform. The fan reaction will be overwhelming, as a majority of Red Sox Nation never wanted to see him go. There’s always going to be a loud minority on either side of that argument, of course. But generally speaking, I think we can all agree that having Devers is better than having Jordan Hicks, Kyle Harrison, minor leaguer Jose Bello and James Tibbs (already moved to Dodgers for the failed Dustin may experiment).

SEPTEMBER:

• 8/31 to 9/2, M’s make the trip out east - Seattle was a game away from advancing to their first World Series appearance in franchise history this past October, and they’re returning the core of a young team that took the American League by storm in 2025. This is an organization that got aggressive at the deadline, and it nearly jolted them enough to win the American League pennant. They're poised to have another great season. All three games should be a great take.

• 9/11 to 9/13, A potential homecoming for Jarren Duran - With the Royals coming to town, there’s a chance that this will be the potential homecoming for the 2024 All-Star Game MVP. Rumors of Duran possibly being moved to Kansas City reached a fever pitched on December 12, with ESPN’s Jeff Passan saying internal discussions had occurred for the Royals as they continue to look at improving their outfield. We know the Red Sox want to unclog that outfield, regardless if Craig Breslow says he’s content heading into next season with all four of Duran, Roman Anthony, Ceddanne Rafaela and Wilyer Abreu.

• 9/22 to 9/27, An absolutely loaded final homestand - The Red Sox end their season with six home games - a three-game set with Cleveland, and a three-game set with the Cubs. Both teams were in the postseason last year, and both are poised to be among the best in baseball again in 2026. And with how the American League is shaping up, these final two series are probably going to matter greatly as it relates to the postseason, whether that’s the seeding, clinching, or some combination of both.
