FC Bayern’s prodigal son is an early bird.
The return of Jamal Musiala is perhaps the most celebrated event in all of Bayern Munich’s recent history. The youngster returns after nearly six months of nursing a fibula fracture. Musiala is indisputably among the best young talents in football right now and him being back on the pitch is more crucial now than ever with several huge fixtures coming up across competitions.
His several months away now means that he’ll have to work much harder than the rest. It is customary for the team to undergo performance tests following the winter break and this is set to happen on January 3. However, Musiala will get to this earlier than the rest. According to Kicker journalist Mario Krischel (via @iMiaSanMia), the youngster will have an early start. He will undergo extra training following the performance tests, for he has only recently returned to team training. He will join the team in their return as well.
The early bird gets the worm, but in Musiala’s case, the early bird does the Worm. Or whatever training exercise they do.
