According to Corriere dello Sport, Cristian Chivu plans to rely on experience in defence. Manuel Akanji will also return to the starting line-up.
De Vrij currently holds the advantage in the selection race.
The Dutch defender wants regular minutes. He has played only a limited role this season.
A start in Bergamo would boost his status within the squad.
