Mohawk tops Sharon in holiday tournament title game

SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) – Mohawk bested Sharon 54-37 in the Sharon Holiday Basketball Tournament championship game on Saturday during boys high school basketball action.

Despite the loss, three different Tigers (Cedrick Boyd, Jeremiah Nixon and Gha’Fir Lampkins) finished in double-figure scoring.

The Warriors were led by Bobby Faden with 29 points while Joey Nail finished with 11 as Mohawk improves to 7-1 overall.

The loss ends Sharon’s four-game win streak and sends them to 6-3 on the season. The Tigers are set to return to action on Monday, Jan. 5, against Eisenhower.
