His recovery from knee surgery is on track.
Barcelona midfielder Gavi has given a new interview and looks to be in great spirits as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.
Gavi went under the knife again back in September and was ruled out for five months in what was a real shock for player and club.
The current thinking is that Gavi could be available again by February or March of next year, and he says everything is going well.
“I’m doing very well, I’m following the agreed deadlines and I hope to continue like this,” he told Sport. “I miss the ball a lot, being with the ball and playing with your teammates”.
“The injury has passed, but it’s football, life, you have to work to recover, but I’m happy for this year because we’ve won three very important titles, I’m sure I’ll be the same as always.”
Gavi is also adamant he’ll be back to his best when he does finally return and will be able to show Barcelona fans what they’ve been missing.
“People will be able to see the Gavi they are waiting for, I have that in my head and I have the mentality, which makes me strong to achieve it,” he added.
“I don’t know when I’ll come back from injury, but when I do it will be one hundred percent.”
It’s great to hear from Gavi and let’s hope it’s not too long until we see him back in action for Barca again.
