NFL Draft order 2026: Latest as Giants top Raiders, Jets lose and Browns win (UPDATED)

The Giants fell out of the top spot in the 2026 NFL Draft with Sunday’s win at the Raiders, who very clearly are the league’s worst team.

If the Giants had lost, they would’ve clinched the top pick. But they won.

So the Raiders move from No. 2 to No. 1, as the Giants fall from No. 1 to No. 2.

The Raiders host the Chiefs (who are down to Chris Oladokun at quarterback) in Week 18, when the Giants host Dallas.

Technically, the No. 1 pick is still up for grabs with one game remaining. But the Raiders are in the driver’s seat.

If the Raiders win in Week 18 and the Giants lose, then the Giants will indeed get the top pick, based on the strength-of-schedule tiebreaker.

The Giants securing the top pick Sunday would have opened the door to a potentially lucrative trade-down move with a quarterback-needy team (like the Jets or even the Raiders). The Giants, of course, don’t need a quarterback, since they have Jaxson Dart.

But now, presuming the Raiders wind up with the No. 1 pick and grab a quarterback (probably Fernando Mendoza) with that selection, the Giants are much less likely to get a haul while trading down from, say, No. 2.
