The Colombian superstar wants to walk to walk!
Luis Díaz has been a revelation for Bayern Munich since his move from Liverpool to the Bundesliga. He has scored some incredible goals including a double against PSG which led to Bayern beating the holders of the UEFA Champions League. He plays the game passionately and his hunger is visible on the pitch – he is as aggressive at defending as he is at attacking. This has meant that he has also picked up a card or two leading to suspensions in both the Champions League and the Bundesliga. Nonetheless, he has endeared himself to the fans at Bayern.
Recently, he sat down with the Guardian’s Luis Miguel Echegaray, to discuss a lot of things. Echegaray asked Díaz: “Bayern’s other objective is to win the Champions League again. How confident are you of the club’s hopes of winning it once again?” His answer showed his ambition: “Every time I come to a new club, just because of the way I am, I want to win everything. Whatever is up for grabs.” He also understands Bayern’s ambitions: “The club obviously wants to win [the Champions League] from the beginning, and we are currently doing well.” However, he knows that it is not just about talking: “But at the end I think we need to show it and confirm it at the final stages.”
Bayern definitely has found themselves a gem in their new Colombian superstar.
