Real Madrid made their return to training this Monday in what was the first session after the Christmas break, with Los Blancos getting ready to face Betis next Sunday. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal (injuries) and Brahim Diaz (currently with Morocco in the AFCON) were the only ones who didn’t complete the training session with the group.

Real Madrid will have a crucial match against Atlético de Madrid in the Spanish Supercup next week and Carvajal’s availability for that game shouldn’t be ruled out just yet as he’s working hard to recover in time for that tournament.

Fede Valverde was able to complete the session with his teammates after missing Real Madrid’s last game with a minor muscle injury, so it looks like he will be ready to start when Los Blancos host Betis next Sunday in what will be the first game of the calendar year.
