This is the last Monday night game of the year!
The Los Angeles Rams (11-4) travel to take on the Atlanta Falcons (6-9) in Week 17 of the NFL season in what could be a “get right” game for L.A., or the exact opposite of that.
Entering Week 16, the Rams had a chance to win the NFC West and the top spot in the NFC, now the Rams are third in their division, and have no chance of owning the 1-seed, or their division.
Life comes at you fast, but that’s no reason to skip this game, so here’s our how to watch guide!
The Falcons want to win so that people can retain jobs, not give the Rams an even better draft choice (ATL and L.A. traded picks in their most recent draft, so L.A. could benefit a lot with a win tonight), and players in Atlanta are fighting for pride and maybe auditioning for spots elsewhere.
For the Rams, they want to win to make the Falcon’s draft pick even better, but they may want to win to try and get over their previous Thursday night loss to the Seattle Seahawks, but that loss may sting regardless of tonight’s outcome.
The fact is, the Rams had this season going their way, and then they let it slip away. Now, the regular season really doesn’t matter for the Rams.
What matters is getting into the postseason healthy, and winning.
Enjoy the first half of the game, comment away on what you like, don’t like or whatever you want! And stay on the lookout for the second half game thread after the first half comes to a close!
