Jets head coach Aaron Glenn announced his quarterback decision for Week 18 on Wednesday. Rookie Brady Cook will make his fourth consecutive start as the Jets close out the 2025 season against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Cook, of course, does not give the Jets the best chance to win. It’s a ridiculous thing for Glenn to say. You could argue he’s insulting our intelligence by making that point. Cook has looked like he’s in completely over his head during his run as Jets quarterback. He should not be on an NFL field at this point.
If we were going to give Glenn any sort of credit, we might assume this is his way of making sure the team loses for position in the NFL Draft.
Of course all of this suggests that fans hoping for a coaching change might be disappointed. It’s tough to imagine Glenn putting Cook on the field if he thought his job was in any jeopardy.
